About
Lora House is a Raleigh-based ceramicist who thrives on a little chaos, a lot of creativity, and the joy of turning mud into something both beautiful and functional. With over 15 years of experience, she works primarily in porcelain—because if you're going to make a mess, it might as well be with the fancy stuff.
A graduate of NC State’s College of Design with degrees in Industrial and Graphic Design, Lora has a keen eye for form and a deep appreciation for bold, graphic surfaces. She brings her pottery to life with hand-drawn illustrations and airbrushed designs. Layering a variety of printing and glazing techniques, she creates work that’s as engaging to look at as it is to hold and use.
Nature—especially plants and animals—often sneaks into her designs, whether it’s a bright botanical print or a mischievous creature hidden in the details. She’s drawn to the storytelling potential of ceramics, letting everyday moments and natural inspirations take shape in clay.
From mugs and plates to playful sculptural pieces, Lora’s work is infused with personality, curiosity, and a love for craftsmanship.
